TOPIC: 19th-century Conditionalists in America

19th-century Conditionalists in America 1 year, 11 months ago #3898

Here's an updated link (since the last one went dead) for a seminary paper I wrote over a year ago. It focuses on three men who advanced the belief in Conditional Immortalism, each representing the beginning, middle, and end of nineteenth-century America. It shows how the (likely) first minister in the U.S. to preach Conditionalism (Smith) first became convinced to reconsider his beliefs on hell and immortality, with a quote from the book (just published in England then) that he happened to open up in a Boston bookstore in 1804.
